“Scott’s Fred Flintstone/Bill Wray-esque mash up stole my heart. Add the art direction and spot on typography for the cover and this is an authentic looking 60s retro winner.”
This is what Eisner Award-winning cartoonist Darwyn Cooke had to say about Scott’s illustration for a contest in which writer Donald Westlake’s character, Parker is re-imagined.
It’s no secret that Scott’s own work reflects a heavy dose of comic books, B-movies, Mad Magazine and Hanna-Barbera. But his art style is all his own. From cartoony, to more illustrative and stylized, Scott brings a keen sense of design, form and function to his personal work.
Scott graduated from film school with a BFA in Film Production and has worked in the games industry for 12 plus years. His specialties include storyboarding and character design. As an animator at Humongous Entertainment, Scott helped bring to life such children’s favorites as Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam and Spy Fox.
More recently Scott has been an art lead for mobile games on various IOS platforms.
Scott’s writing has appeared in Monkeybicycle, the Mississippi Review and Pindeldyboz.
